Formtorch, Inc. (“Formtorch”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use the Formtorch platform.

We collect information you provide directly when you create an account, configure forms, or contact support. This includes:

  • Account information: name, email address, and password (hashed).
  • Billing information: payment method details processed by our payment provider — we do not store raw card numbers.
  • Profile and workspace settings: notification email addresses, workspace name and logo.

We also collect information automatically when you use the Service:

  • Usage data: pages visited, features used, timestamps, and session duration.
  • Log data: IP addresses, browser type, operating system, and referring URLs.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: session identifiers, authentication tokens, and analytics preferences.

Additionally, when third parties submit your forms, we receive the data they submit (e.g., names, email addresses, messages) solely to provide the Service to you.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Service.
  • Process transactions and send billing-related communications.
  • Send transactional emails (submission notifications, onboarding) and, where opted in, product updates.
  • Detect and prevent fraud, spam, and abuse.

We do not sell your personal information or the personal information of your form respondents to third parties.

3. Data Sharing

We share your information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers: We share data with third-party vendors who help operate the Service (cloud infrastructure, payment processing, email delivery, error monitoring). These parties process data only as directed by us.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government authority.
  • Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction. We will notify you before your data is subject to a different privacy policy.

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Submission data is retained according to your plan's storage period.

When you delete a form or close your account, we will delete associated data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as resolving disputes.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to notify us immediately of any suspected unauthorized access.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
