Billing Policy

This page explains how billing works on Formtorch, including how we handle subscriptions, plan changes, cancellations, and refunds.
Plans
Formtorch offers three plans: Free, Starter, and Pro. Plan details, limits, and pricing are listed on the Pricing page.
All plans are billed in USD.
Free plan
The Free plan is available indefinitely with no credit card required. It includes a monthly submission quota that resets on the 1st of each month at 00:00 UTC.
Submissions captured over quota are stored but locked. Upgrading to a paid plan recovers them.
Paid plans: monthly and yearly
Paid plans are billed in advance at the start of each billing period.
- Monthly: billed every month on the date you first subscribed.
- Yearly: billed once per year, 20% less than the monthly equivalent.
Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date.
Upgrading
You can upgrade at any time from your billing settings page. When upgrading mid-cycle, Stripe prorates the charge: you are billed only for the remaining days in your current period.
Downgrading
You can downgrade to a lower plan or switch from yearly to monthly billing via the billing portal. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain access to your current plan's features until then.
Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time from the billing portal. Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. After that, your account moves to the Free plan.
We do not charge cancellation fees.
Refunds
Monthly plans: We do not offer refunds for partial months. Your subscription remains active until the end of the billing period you have already paid for.
Yearly plans: We do not offer refunds for unused months on yearly subscriptions. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 14 days and we will review your case.
Exceptions: If a technical issue on our end caused a billing error, we will issue a full refund promptly. Contact support at support@formtorch.com.
Payment processing
All payments are processed securely by Stripe. Formtorch does not store your card details. For payment questions or to update your payment method, visit the billing portal from your account settings.
Failed payments
If a payment fails, Stripe will retry the charge according to its retry schedule (typically 3 to 7 days). Your account will show a "Past due" status during this time. If the payment is not recovered, your subscription will be canceled and your account will move to the Free plan.
To avoid interruption, keep your payment method up to date in the billing portal.
