Success Redirects in Form Settings
You can now choose where visitors land after submitting a form directly from the dashboard, without touching your form's HTML.
The problem this solves
Until now, the only way to send visitors somewhere other than Formtorch's default success page was a hidden _redirect field. Because anyone can edit a hidden field, _redirect is restricted to the same site as the page your form is on. That ruled out common destinations like a booking link, a checkout page, or a thank-you page hosted on a different domain, and changing the URL meant redeploying your site.
How it works
Open your form, go to Settings → Success Redirect, turn on Redirect after submission, and enter a URL. After a successful submission, Formtorch sends the browser there.
- Any domain: the URL can point anywhere, as long as it starts with
https://. - Validated twice: the URL is checked when you save it and again on every submission, so a bad value never reaches your visitors.
- Easy to pause: turning the toggle off keeps the URL saved, so you can switch it back on later without re-entering it.
Which redirect wins
For a regular HTML form submission, Formtorch now uses the first of these that applies:
- The Form Settings redirect, if it's turned on
- A valid
_redirectfield (still same-site only) - The default Formtorch success page
AJAX and fetch submissions are unchanged: they get a JSON response and never redirect.
Spam stays out
Submissions flagged as spam still get a normal-looking success response, so bots can't tell they were caught, but they are never sent to your Form Settings redirect. Your real destination stays hidden from automated traffic.
Success redirects are available on all plans. Existing forms keep working exactly as before until you turn the setting on. See Custom Redirects for the full guide.
